IEBC Extends Sympathy to the Victims of Massive Earthquake in Iran

Iran-Europe Business Center (IEBC) expresses its sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones in the earthquakes that hit Kermanshah Province.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those effected by the earthquake. We also wish speedy recovery of those who have been injured and their return to normal lives. Our thoughts also go to the first responders who are tirelessly working to save lives.

More than 430 people have been killed and at least 7156 believed to have been injured by tremors in Iran's Kermanshah province, after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck this region on November 12, 2017.

Iran, Europe trade rises 75% in 8 months

IEBC- Tehran: Trade exchange between Iran and Europe increased by 75 % in the first 8 month of 2017, compared to the same period of last year.

Based on the latest figures released by the European Union’s statistics agency Eurostat, Iran-Europe trade stood at €13.6 billion in the first eight months of this year, while the figure was €7.5 billion in the time span from January to August 2016.

The upward trend of Europe’s imports of Iranian crude oil, following the implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal with G5+1, has played an important role in pushing the figure up, the report adds.

Europeans imported €6.5 billion of goods from Iran in the first eight months of 2017, showing 144% growth from €2.66 billion in the same period in 2016.

Their exports to the Islamic country in the first eight months of 2017, registering 37 percent rise, hit €6.66 billion, while the figure stood at €4.84 billion in the same time in the preceding year.

Danish FM to visit Tehran in November

Danish foreign minister, Anders Samuelsen, will visit Tehran in November. The head of the strategic research center of Iran’s Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati, and Danish deputy foreign minister, Jonas Bering Liisberg, held a meeting in Tehran.

468 Million Dollar Petrochemicals Export Increase in 4 months

IEBC- Tehran: during the first four months of 1396 (March 21- July 22, 2017), total petrochemicals export reached 7.188 million tons amounting to more than 3.496 billion dollars.

IDRO, Renault ink joint venture contract

IEBC- Tehran: IDRO and France Renault signed a joint cooperation agreement in Tehran to develop and produce modern automobiles. The joint venture contract was sealed between Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and Groupe Renault, a French multinational automobile manufacturer.
